. . . to Black Tims

Sick Kano over just the marching band drums off the Missy/Vybz/MIA tune. I'm telling you right now, this kid is an emcee, not some rave deejay, and he should be judged as one. Sign this to Def Jam over Lady Sov and MIND THEM

Jay re-arranged

The Smoking Section takes the task of rearranging Hov's work VERY SERIOUSLY

p.s. the labels should figure out a way to make money off people's passion for these homemade best-of tapes that everybody makes and give them a cut too

DIRTIEST NEW YEAR'S EVE 2006

To everyone's who's been emailed "when are you playing Tronno?" - we are back IN STYLE. They did Diplo for 2004, The Rub for 2005 and this year me and my Disorganised cohorts join:
-> James Dean Brown, Frankfurt (Perlon, Narcotic Syntax.com)
-> Kenny Muhammad aka The Human Orchestra, NYC (myspace.com/thehumanorchestra)
-> Rory Them Finest, Toronto (Big Primpin, Skeletwinz, themfinest.com)
-> DJ Reliant LE, Toronto (aka Eric Glavin)

NOT TO MENTION:
Alanna's coming to do the Bonjay thing on the mic

Over 1000 people up in the piece

Big names, big venue, lots to live up to and WE WILL COME CORRECT THAT IS WORD

Seldom Seen Often Heard

It's hard to make 92bpm straight hip hop ten years after the golden age ended but Ghost 's The Payoff EP stands out for whatever reason. "Alien Invasion" flips the guitar lick they used on the Slum Villa Dirty District LP to even nicer effect. I'm a sucker for those little chops and edits to keep the third verse interesting. . .
