Same break for same sentiment
My cut of the moment is Wale Oyejide's "There's A War Going On" (realaudio). The Artist Formerly Known As Science Fiction brings along J-Dilla for a ride: "I don't die, only multiply, like Andre with the 'Hey Ya'".
Deep keyboards and lush bass over the same break as "F*ck the Police" and Fela-style sanging from Wale combine for the rare non-corny message tune. Big (or should be).

Hey all:
The Rilla is back! Sorry for the interminably long delay, but I was gone for a month touring England & Japan, and just haven't bit the bullet and started posted here again since then. Here are a few pix from my travels:

Neneh Cherry close up at Club 333 in London.

Co-op in London, just about one of the most incredible club nights you can possible imagine. Feel the bruck bass like it ought to be felt!

Wish I knew how to operate my camera correctly, you'd see the heavy heavy dancers too.

Kyoto Jazz Massive's club night in Osaka, Cool 2 Kool (give them a break, they're Japanese).

Also a good time, but a lot of straight-up house too. . .

Club was in an Osaka subway station!
